At the A.K.S. Group, we use robots extensively to improve efficiency and increase the precision of our products.
We use robots to feed several of our 5-axis machining centers and lathes.
Our largest welding robot is a PANASONIC/FRONIUS TA-1900WG
3D welding robot. The working range is X 12000 mm, Y 2500 mm, Z 2500 mm. With 500 kg manipulator and Fronius 3200 CMT welding machine.
In short, CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) is the controlled transfer of droplets in the arc, during short arc welding. This process provides a low heat transfer and has been developed to join plates in virtually all metallic materials and material thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 3 mm.
